The Endless and Quiet Beach of Tsakonia
Lakkos Beach is located at the entrance to Leonidio (in the Pelia location) and extends for an impressive 3 kilometers. The route to get there is extremely interesting, as it passes through the homonymous rural settlement with its traditional greenhouses and vegetable crops.
- Type of beach: It consists of a combination of fine sand and pebbles with crystal clear, deep and greenish-blue waters facing the Myrtoan Sea.
- Suitable for: Those seeking absolute tranquility, isolation and relaxation. Its enormous size ensures peace and quiet, while it is also suitable for snorkeling.
- Infrastructure: Basically unorganized. There is a traditional restaurant on the beach in the area, while at the edge of the coast there is a small picturesque chapel.
- Access: Very easy. Follow the Leonidio - Sampatiki road and turn towards the settlement of Lakkos. The road leads directly to the coast, where there is plenty of free parking.
