The Exotic "Caribbean" of Elafonisos
Simos Beach is the trademark of Elafonisos and one of the most famous summer destinations in the world. The landscape is literally taken from a postcard: two impressive, twin bays (Frangos and Sarakiniko) that hug a narrow strip of land, surrounded by white dunes and rare sea cedar.
- Type of coast: Vast, fine, white and pink sand with incredible, exotic turquoise and transparent waters. The sea is shallow and the seabed resembles an endless natural swimming pool.
- Suitable for: A paradise for families with young children thanks to the shallow waters, but also for young people, couples, windsurfing and free snorkeling enthusiasts.
- Facilities: Fully organized in sections with a beach bar, umbrellas, sun loungers, showers and a lifeguard. It offers huge free space for your own equipment, while the famous Camping operates a short distance away.
- Access: Very easy by road, 4.5 km from the port (where you can reach by ferry boat from Punta Lakonias in 10 minutes). It has huge parking spaces right next to the wooden walkways of the coast.
