The Wild and Unspoilt "Secret" Paradise of Laconia
Vlychada Beach is one of the best kept secrets on the eastern coast of Laconia, in the Municipality of Monemvasia. It is hidden 7.5 kilometers from the mountainous village of Reichia. It is an imposing, wide coast where the wild beauty of the mountain blends with the endless blue of the Myrtoo Sea.
- Type of coast: White pebbles and fine gravel-sand. The waters are crystal clear, crystal clear, clear and characteristically icy. Special beach shoes are recommended for entering the water.
- Suitable for: Nature lovers, free campers and those seeking absolute isolation. Due to the steep rocks around the coast, it has a famous organized climbing park for extreme sports, and is also suitable for snorkeling.
- Infrastructure: Unorganized without umbrellas or sunbeds. It has a summer canteen for coffee and snacks, municipal toilets, showers and some natural shade from trees inside.
- Access: Road access via an asphalt road 7.5 km from Reichia. The road offers incredible views from above, but is narrow and steep, requiring low speeds. At the end of the route there is a comfortable parking lot.
