Kyparissi Beach
Description
A Hidden Island Paradise
Kyparissi Beach is one of the best-kept treasures of the eastern Peloponnese, nestled between the steep slopes of Mount Parnon and the crystal-clear waters of the Myrtos Sea. This seaside settlement ("Beach") has three main, crystal-clear beaches that offer a unique relaxing experience, away from mass tourism.
- Beach type: Megali Ammos, Mikri Ammos (inside the village) and Agia Kyriaki (2 km north) are covered with fine, smooth pebbles and sand. The waters are deep, crystal clear and turquoise, while due to the geographical location of the bay, there are rarely any waves.
- Suitable for: Families with young children (mainly Megali Ammos due to its easy access), couples and lovers of tranquility. Agia Kyriaki is ideal for snorkeling thanks to its impressive rocks and rich seabed.
- Infrastructure: 100% unorganized (no umbrellas or beach bar). In the settlement you will find natural shade from tamarisk trees, traditional fish taverns and quality guesthouses within 50 meters. Agia Kyriaki has a special disabled access ramp, showers, changing rooms and a small canteen.
- Access: Road access from Sparta (87 km) or via the new coastal road from Leonidio and Fokiano. You can get to the settlement on foot, while in Agia Kyriaki there is a comfortable and free parking space right next to the coast.
