Kokkinia Beach

The Endless and Quiet Sand of the Laconian Gulf

Kokkinia Beach is one of the most hospitable and quiet destinations in the northeastern coastal part of the Laconian Gulf, within the boundaries of the Municipality of Evrotas. This coast constitutes one of the two natural ends of the longest beach in Laconia (which measures 16 kilometers from Kokkinia to Trinissa). It is an open, endless beach.
  • Type of coast: It is 900 meters long and is covered with fine, clean sand. The waters are crystal clear, very shallow and particularly warm, with the entrance to the sea being completely smooth.
  • Suitable for: Families with small children due to the safe, shallow sea and sand. An ideal choice for those who love free snorkeling and romantic walks by the sea.
  • Infrastructure: Unorganized beach, which however has basic municipal facilities, such as changing rooms and showers. There is a summer canteen for coffee and food on the shore, while at a distance of 2.3 km. is the Vivari wetland.
  • Access: Very easy by road, as it is located 3 km. south of Kato Glykovrysi and about 6 km. from Molao. The road ends next to the sea, offering comfortable and free parking.
