The "Inside the City" Cool Embrace of Nafplio
Arvanitia Beach is the trademark of Nafplio residents and visitors. It is a small but extremely popular beach of about 200 meters long below Palamidi, which offers the unique convenience of enjoying a refreshing swim without even needing a car.
- Type of beach: Thick white pebbles and small stones in the center, with a sandy bottom in some places. Its edges are rocky with metal access stairs, while its location perfectly protects it from the northern winds.
- Suitable for: Those looking for a quick dip, for groups and couples. The deep and clear seabed at the edges makes it a top destination for snorkeling and mask exploration.
- Facilities: Fully organized beach with beach bar, umbrellas and sunbeds. It has free municipal facilities (showers, changing rooms, WC), as well as outdoor exercise equipment at the entrance.
- Access: Very easy. It is just a 10-minute walk from any point in the Old Town. If you come by car, it has a large, safe and free parking at the top, from where you go down a few steps.
