Kondyli Beach (Agios Nikolaos)
Description
The Idyllic "Diamond" of Argolida
Kondyli Beach is one of the top and most atmospheric beaches in the entire Peloponnese, within easy reach of Nafplio. This vast coastline stretches for approximately 800 meters and is also known as Agios Nikolaos Beach, from the picturesque, whitewashed chapel that stands next to the waves.
- Type of beach: A special combination of fine sand, reddish pebbles and coarse pebbles. It has crystal clear, Blue Flag-awarded waters, which however deepen quickly and have a steep slope.
- Suitable for: Groups, young people and couples who love deep and cool waters. The rocky bottom is ideal for snorkeling, while families with small children should be careful due to the steep depth.
- Infrastructure: Very well organized with modern beach bars, umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, chemical toilets and infrastructure for water sports. It offers plenty of free space for your own equipment, while for food, the fish taverns in the neighboring Vivari are recommended.
- Access: Very easy by road via the Nafplio - Asini axis (17 km from Nafplio and 5 km after Drepano). The road offers incredible views from above and ends in a huge, free parking lot along the coast.
