Timeni Beach

The Historic and Shallow Shoreline of the Dorians

Timeni Beach is one of the most peaceful and historic seaside destinations in Argolida, built next to Nea Kio. It is a vast, open coastline that extends along the western side of the inlet of the Argolic Gulf, constituting in antiquity the official seaport and harbor of Argos.
  • Type of beach: Fine, dark sand and small, soft pebbles with a clean sandy bottom. The waters are crystal clear, extremely shallow and warm, rich in iodine and minerals.
  • Suitable for: Families with young children due to the perfectly smooth slope and the safe sea. Due to the afternoon winds, it is considered a top spot for kitesurfing and windsurfing, while it is also preferred by the elderly for the therapeutic composition of the water.
  • Infrastructure: Gentle and discreet organization (without dense sunbeds) with showers and changing rooms available. It offers plenty of free space for your own equipment, while some of the most famous fish taverns of Argolida operate within walking distance.
  • Access: Very easy by road via the coastal axis of Nafplio - Nea Kios - Myloni (5 km from Nafplio and 7 km from Argos). The road passes right next to the coast, offering a large and free parking space.
