Selinitsa Beach is one of the most beautiful, clean and popular beaches in the wider Mani region. It is located in the homonymous holiday village, just 4 kilometers northeast of Gytheio. With a length of almost 1,400 meters, the coast extends preferentially into the Laconian Gulf, offering a wonderful, panoramic view of the city of Gytheio and the picturesque Marathonisi.
- Type of coast: Fine, golden sand mixed with small, smooth pebbles. Its waters are crystal clear, crystal clear and deep blue, while due to their excellent quality the beach is consistently awarded the Blue Flag every year.
- Suitable for: Families with young children, as the gentle slopes of the seabed and the absence of sea urchins offer absolute safety. It is also preferred by those who love water sports (canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling), as well as ecology enthusiasts, as the coast is an important breeding ground for the Caretta-Caretta sea turtle.
- Infrastructure: Excellently organized in several parts. You will find neat beach bars and hotels that offer umbrellas, sun loungers, showers and changing rooms. At the same time, due to its long length, there are plenty of free sections, while an organized campsite is also located very close by.
- Access: Very easy and direct by road via the Skala - Gythio network. You can get there in just 5 minutes from Gythio by car, by bike or even on foot. There is a comfortable and free parking space just a few meters from the beach.
