Gerolimenas Beach

Diving in the Picturesque "Holy Port" with Green Waters

Gerolimenas Beach offers one of the most authentic and picturesque experiences in Mani. It is located in the homonymous seaside settlement in Mesa Mani, approximately 24 kilometers south of Areopoli, just before Cape Tainaro. It is a narrow, deep and completely protected bay, where the stone buildings of Mani and the traditional fishing boats are reflected in the impressive, transparent waters, under the shadow of the imposing rock of Kavo Grossos.
  • Type of beach: Large, smooth white pebbles on the shore, with the seabed being mainly pebble and some rocks. The waters are crystal clear, crystal clear, with unique turquoise and emerald hues, while they deepen relatively quickly. Due to the large pebbles, the use of beach shoes is recommended.
  • Suitable for: Travelers looking for a calm, romantic and highly atmospheric destination. It is ideal for those who love snorkeling around the large rock, for those who want to take beautiful photos, but also for those who wish to combine swimming with good food by the sea.
  • Infrastructure: The beach is small in size and maintains its traditional character. In one part of it, a few sun loungers and umbrellas operate from the adjacent shops. Its great advantage is that it is located within the settlement, with excellent fish taverns and cafes spreading their tables literally where the waves break.
  • Access: Very easy by car via the road network from Areopoli. The road leads directly to the harbor, where there is free public parking in the central square, just a few meters from the shore.
