The Picturesque Fishing Village with Shallow and Clear Waters

Agios Andreas Beach is one of the most beloved and traditional summer destinations of the Messinian Gulf. It is located in the seaside settlement of the same name in the Municipal Unit of Aipeia, 27 kilometers southwest of Messini and approximately 38 kilometers from Kalamata. The picturesque small harbor, the tranquility of the landscape and the warm hospitality create an ideal environment for a relaxing vacation by the sea.
  • Type of coast: Mixed, fine pebbles and sand, both on the coast and inland. The waters are crystal clear, clear, extremely shallow and gradually deepen, offering safety for young and old. On one side of the coast, natural boulders stand, while on the other, the local marina-fishing shelter extends.
  • Suitable for: Families with young children due to the shallow waters, couples and travelers seeking tranquility away from the cosmopolitan crowds. Also ideal for leisurely walks by the sea and observing the local life of the fishing village.
  • Infrastructure: Partially organized, it has areas with umbrellas and sun loungers, as well as a local canteen for coffee and snacks. Right next door, in the seaside settlement and around the harbor, there are excellent traditional fish taverns with fresh fish.
  • Access: Easy by road via the provincial network from Messina. Parking is free in nearby areas around the settlement and the port, just a few meters from the shore.
