Kourouta Beach is one of the most popular, lively and busy summer destinations in the entire western Peloponnese. It is ideally located in Ilia, just 3 kilometers west of the town of Amaliada and approximately 20 kilometers from Pyrgos. Its vast, golden coastline is washed by the open Ionian Sea and uniquely combines top-notch tourist infrastructure with the exotic beauty of an endless sandy beach.
  • Type of coast: An endless strip of fine, golden sand that stretches for many kilometers, both on the coast and inland, without stones. The waters of the Ionian Sea are crystal clear, crystal clear and gradually deepen, while the beach is consistently awarded a Blue Flag every year.
  • Suitable for: All types of travelers. It is an absolute paradise for youth and groups due to the intense nightlife and events, but at the same time it is preferred by families with children due to the comfortable sand, shallow waters and easy access.
  • Infrastructure: Excellent and fully organized. Along the long coastal promenade there are countless beach bars, cafes, clubs, restaurants and traditional fish taverns. It has hundreds of sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, changing rooms, lifeguard towers, while within walking distance there is one of the most famous organized campsites in the area.
  • Access: Very easy and direct by car via the road network from Amaliada or the Patras - Pyrgos National Road. The road leads right behind the beach's pedestrian walkway, where there are large, comfortable and free parking spaces for vehicles.
