Glyfa Beach
Description
The "Emerald" of the Municipality of Pinios
Glyfa Beach is one of the most beautiful, quiet and unspoilt beaches of the western Peloponnese. It is located in the Municipality of Pinios, ideally located between the cosmopolitan Arkoudi and the Vartholomio Dunes (near Vartholomio). Its great advantage is that it combines a huge stretch of golden sand with a beautiful, green pine forest that extends right behind the coast, offering a setting of unique natural beauty away from mass tourism.
- Type of beach: An endless strip of fine, golden sand that stretches from one end to the other on the coastline and continues evenly into the seabed, without stones. The waters of the Ionian Sea are crystal clear, transparent, have an impressive emerald color and deepen very smoothly.
- Suitable for: Families with young children due to the very shallow and safe waters, but also for travelers or nature lovers seeking peace and relaxation under the shade of pine trees.
- Infrastructure: The beach is partially organized, maintaining its authenticity. You will find umbrellas, sun loungers and a welcoming canteen for coffee and snacks, while most of it remains completely free. In the area there are some small hotels and the famous fish tavern Eleonas of Marina.
- Access: Very easy by car via the road network from Vartholomio. There is a comfortable and free parking space a few meters away from the sand.
