Myrsini Beach
Description
The Calm and Fully Accessible Coast of the Gulf of Kyllini
Myrsini Beach is one of the most hospitable, calm and family-friendly beaches in northwestern Ilia. It is located a stone's throw from the homonymous village, very close to Lechaina and Andravida. It is a beautiful part of the extensive sandy zone of the Ionian Sea, which stands out for its authentic atmosphere, natural beauty and strong social sensitivity, as it is a model of accessibility in the region.
- Type of coast: An extensive strip of fine, golden sand that stretches along the coast and continues evenly into the seabed, without stones. The waters of the Ionian Sea are crystal clear, transparent and deepen very smoothly, making swimming a pleasure.
- Inclusive Sea: The beach is a benchmark for its accessibility. It has a modern SEATRAC system (autonomous access ramp), special walkways, beach wheelchairs, as well as adapted infrastructure (showers, toilets, changing rooms) to facilitate people with disabilities (PWDs) and mobility problems.
- Suitable for: Families with young children due to the very shallow and safe waters, the elderly, but also travelers looking for a quiet destination to relax away from the overly noisy tourist resorts.
- Infrastructure: The beach perfectly combines comfort with pristine character. It has organized sections with umbrellas and sun loungers, while right next to the sea there are picturesque taverns and ouzeri that serve fresh seafood meze, tsipouro and ice-cold beer. At the same time, it offers plenty of free space for your own equipment.
- Access: Very easy and direct by car via the road network from Myrsini or Lechaina. The road reaches right behind the sandy beach, where you will find comfortable and free parking a few meters away from the sea.
