The Windless "Minion" Oasis with Shallow Blue Waters
Flambouro Beach is one of the best-kept secrets of Corinth. It is located on the north side of the large bay of Loutraki, on the Corinthian Gulf. It takes its name from the historic, homonymous fish tavern that has been operating there for over 20 years. Flambouro stands as the ideal "rival awe" of the bustling central coast of the city, offering a lush, peaceful environment where relaxation and crystal clear, cool waters take precedence.
- Type of beach: A beautiful, short coastline (approximately 150 meters long) covered in fine pebbles and sand. Its great advantage is its very shallow, crystal clear waters, while due to its geographical location it remains completely sheltered and without waves, even when it is blowing strongly in the rest of the area.
- Suitable for: Families with small children due to the very shallow waters and the safety it offers, but also for couples or groups seeking tranquility away from the crowds.
- Infrastructure: Ideally organized. It has a beach bar with umbrellas and sun loungers (some placed in neat grassy areas), showers, as well as the well-known traditional fish tavern for fresh food right above the wave. However, there is also free space for those who wish to set up their own equipment.
- Access: Very easy and fast. It is only 6 kilometers (about 10 minutes) from Loutraki and around 1.5 hours from Athens. Heading from Loutraki towards Perachora, you will turn left at the characteristic sign “Flambouro”. The road is paved and there is ample space for free parking.
