Kalogerolimano Beach
Description
The Hidden “Blue Lake” of Sofikos with its Pristine Nature
Kalogerolimano Beach is rightly considered one of the most impressive, untouched and “secret” paradises of eastern Corinth. It is located in the Saronic Gulf, in the wider geographical area of Sofikos (Solygia region). It forms a large, deep natural bay protected by lush green slopes, where dense vegetation and pine trees literally reach to where the waves break. It is the ultimate destination for those seeking isolation and who want to swim in waters with exotic, blue-green hues.
- Type of coast: A beautiful, pristine coastline covered with white, coarse pebbles outside, but also inside the seabed. The waters are crystal clear, crystal clear and steeply deep. The great advantage of the bay is the rich natural shade offered by the trees along the coast.
- Suitable for: Travelers who love unorganized, "unspoiled" beaches, free campers, couples and those who want to enjoy the sea in absolute peace. Due to its depth and purity, it is an excellent spot for snorkelers.
- Infrastructure: Completely unorganized (untouched). There are no beach bars, umbrellas, sun loungers, canteens or nearby shops. It is absolutely necessary to purchase water, coffee and food from Sofiko or Almyri before starting your journey.
- Access: It is located approximately 105 kilometers (around 1.5 to 2 hours) from Athens. The journey is by road via the Provincial Road of Corinth - Epidaurus. After Almyri, follow the signs to Amoni/Sofiko. The final approach includes a short section of dirt road with a steep slope, so careful driving is required. Free parking is available near the trees.
