The Quiet Sandy Bay Below the Clay Hills
Agia Triada (or Lachanou) Beach is a hidden, peaceful paradise in southern Messinia. It is located to the east of the small settlement of the same name, just 3.5 kilometers north of Koroni and close to Harakopio. The landscape stands out for the impressive, steep clay hills that surround the bay and the absence of mass tourism, offering the visitor a sense of absolute isolation and contact with pristine nature.
- Type of coast: Crystal clear, golden sandy coast with a smooth, sandy bottom. On its northernmost side, the steep cliff directly connects to the sea, ensuring natural shade during the afternoon hours.
- Suitable for: Travelers and couples seeking peace and quiet away from the crowds, but also for families, as the waters are usually calm and gradually deepen. The picturesque chapel of Agia Triada also dominates the coast.
- Infrastructure: The beach is completely unorganized. It does not have umbrellas, sunbeds, beach bars or canteens. It is necessary to bring your own shade equipment, water and the essentials.
- Access: Access is not possible directly by car to the wave, but requires a few minutes' walk along a passable path that starts from the settlement area. Parking is available in free spaces at the top.
