The Cosmopolitan Beach in the "Heart" of Kyparissia
Ai Lagoudis Beach (or Ai Lagoudis) is the central, most popular and lively beach of Kyparissia. It is located in western Messinia, a stone's throw from the city center, extending just south of the port. It is a beautiful coastline of approximately 600 meters long that combines direct access on foot from the city with the magic of the open Ionian Sea, offering unique sunsets to its visitors.
- Type of coast: Rich, golden sand stretches along the coast, in which small picturesque coves are also formed. The waters are crystal clear and crystal clear, however, they deepen relatively steeply, so caution is required, especially for young swimmers.
- Suitable for: Ideal for city residents and tourists who want to swim without moving far from Kyparissia. It is equally preferred by families, groups, and people with mobility difficulties, as the coast has a special autonomous access ramp (SeaAccess / SEATRAC) to the sea.
- Infrastructure: Perfectly organized along its entire length. It has sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, toilets and a lifeguard tower for safety. At the top of the beach, on the coastal road, there are excellent beach bars, cafes, clubs and traditional fish taverns.
- Access: Very easy and direct. You can even reach it on foot by going downhill from the center of Kyparissia (at the end of Eleftheriou Venizelou Street). For those traveling by car, there is ample free parking on the surrounding streets behind the coast.
