Derveni Beach is the most unique and picturesque seaside front of western Corinth. It is located on the Corinthian Gulf, in the homonymous historical settlement of the Municipality of Xylokastro-Evrostina, right on the border with the Prefecture of Achaia. Derveni has rightly been described as the "Miami of Greece", as it has a unique urban planning peculiarity: the houses and stone alleys of the village are built literally on the wave, giving the feeling that each house has its own private beach.
- Type of coast: A long, narrow coastline that extends the entire length of the village and is covered by fine, clean pebbles and sand. It is characterized by deep, crystal clear waters, while the coast is consistently awarded the Blue Flag for its excellent quality.
- Suitable for: Families with children due to the hospitable pebble seabed, but also for travelers looking for an authentic Greek experience with a traditional character, away from mass, flattening tourism.
- Infrastructure: Ideally organized. At various points along the coast you will find beach bars with umbrellas and sun loungers, showers and changing rooms. The big advantage is that by crossing the picturesque stone alleys, you are immediately in the central market of the village, where traditional taverns, ouzeries and neat seaside accommodations operate.
- Access: Very easy and direct. It is approximately 1.5 hours from Athens (140 km) and just 45 minutes from Patras. The journey is by road via the Athens-Patras National Road (very close to the exit), while it is well served by the Suburban Railway (Lygia or Akrata Station). Ample parking is available around the settlement.
