Kalamaki Beach
Description
The Quiet Family Paradise of Western Achaia with Golden Sand
Kalamaki Beach is one of the most beloved, hospitable and authentic destinations of the western side of the prefecture. It is located in the Gulf of Patra, in the homonymous lowland settlement of the Municipality of Western Achaia (near Limnochori and Kato Alissos). Kalamaki stands out for its immense, natural beauty and its peaceful atmosphere. Recently, the beach was radically upgraded through major anti-erosion works and the installation of reefs, which "reborn" a wide, beautiful coast, perfectly ready and safe to welcome visitors.
- Type of coast: A beautiful, shallow and sandy beach that has fine pebbles in some parts. Its waters are crystal clear, clear and turquoise, while due to its morphology it is considered one of the safest beaches in the area.
- Suitable for: Families with young children due to its fine sand and very shallow waters, but also for travelers seeking absolute relaxation and tranquility by the sea.
- Infrastructure: Very well organized and fully maintained. It has umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, as well as the popular, all-day seaside shop which is a constant hotspot of the area for coffee, food and cocktails. At the same time, there are large free sections for those who want to set up their own equipment.
- Access: Very easy and fast. It is about 25-30 minutes drive from the center of Patras (about 28 kilometers) via the Patras - Pyrgos National Road. Access to the coast is direct and comfortable, while ample and free parking is available.
