Kyllini Beach
Description
The Friendly Beach next to the Great Port of Ilia
Kyllini Beach is the central and most directly accessible beach for visitors to the town of the same name. It is located on the northwestern tip of Ilia, extending a stone's throw from the Port of Kyllini, which is the main sea gateway to Zakynthos and Kefalonia. It is an extensive and calm sandy beach that offers a wonderful and quick option for swimming before or after the ferry trip, but also for relaxing summer days.
- Type of beach: A wide strip of fine, blond sand on the coast that continues evenly and without stones into the seabed. The waters of the Ionian Sea are crystal clear, clear, have a wonderful blue color and deepen extremely smoothly.
- Suitable for: Families with young children due to the very shallow and safe waters, but also for travelers waiting for the Ferry Boat to the Ionian Islands. Due to its proximity to the port, the sea remains protected from strong sea currents.
- Infrastructure: Partially organized. In various parts of it, there are beach bars and cafes offering umbrellas and sun loungers, while it has showers and changing rooms. Right next door, along the port area, there are numerous restaurants, cafes, rooms to rent and traditional fish taverns. At the same time, there is plenty of free space for your own equipment.
- Access: Very easy and direct. You can reach it by road via the central axis of Andravida - Kyllini or by the buses of the KTEL of Ilia. There is a very large, comfortable and free parking area right behind the beach and around the port.
