Lake Ladona

Its depth and extent change depending on the season, revealing in the fall the famous medieval "Bridge of the Lady", which in the winter and spring is completely "drowned" below the water level.

The area is traditionally famous for its alternative and sporty character, as the calm waters of the lake and river offer [rowing, canoeing and rafting] ideal even for beginners or children.

In the area of ​​"Smixis" there are organized alternative tourism facilities for archery, mountain biking and rafting. On the shores of the lake and in the village of Mouria, there are picturesque cafe-tavernas with a view of the water, while for complete accommodation and more facilities, guests are served in the nearby capital villages, such as Tropaia and Kontovazaina.
• Access: Very easy and direct via the central Tripoli - Patras road (known as "111"). The journey from Tripoli takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, while access to the impressive concrete Ladon Dam (57 meters high at the "Jump") is fully paved. Along the shores of the lake are several openings that offer convenient, free parking for a picnic or a photo stop.
