Leventochori Beach

The Hidden and Picturesque Cove of Western Ilia

Leventochori Beach is one of the most beautiful, quiet and particularly seaside "diamonds" of the prefecture of Ilia. It is hidden in a small, picturesque and sheltered bay, a stone's throw from the homonymous village and very close to Katakolo and Skafidia. It is a destination that stands out for its wild natural beauty, as the coast is surrounded by impressive clay hills and low cliffs, offering a sense of isolation and privacy.
  • Type of coast: The cove is covered with fine, dark sand mixed with small pebbles, while on the right and left the landscape is closed with rocky formations. The waters are crystal clear, shallow, have unique blue-green hues and are usually very calm, as the bay is protected from the winds.
  • Suitable for: Travelers seeking tranquility and authenticity away from the crowds of the big resorts. It is ideal for couples, groups, but also for snorkeling enthusiasts, as the seabed around the rocks hides rich marine life.
  • Infrastructure: The beach is partially organized. In one part of it there is a stylish beach bar that offers a few umbrellas and sun loungers, while the rest of the area remains completely free for you to set up your own equipment. In the nearby village there are traditional taverns with excellent food.
  • Access: Very easy by car via the provincial network from Pyrgos or Katakolo. The road leads very close to the coast, where there is a comfortable and free parking space just a few meters away from the sand.
