Loutra Kyllini Beach

The Exotic "Golden Coast" with its Dense Pine Forest and Thermal

The Loutra Kyllini Beach (also known as the Golden Coast) is one of the most impressive, vast and award-winning coastlines of the Peloponnese. It is located in northwestern Ilia, approximately 13 kilometers south of Kyllini and just 2.5 kilometers from the picturesque village of Arkoudi. It is a magical natural landscape where a dense, ancient pine forest meets a vast sandy beach, while the famous thermal springs and mud baths of the area, which have been around since Roman times, dominate within a stone's throw.
  • Type of coast: An endless, wide strip of fine, golden sand that stretches for almost 5 kilometers, creating impressive natural dunes. The waters of the Ionian Sea are crystal clear, have excellent turquoise hues and deepen very smoothly, while from the coast Zakynthos is visible just a stone's throw away.
  • Suitable for: Ideal for everyone. It is an absolute paradise for families with young children due to the very shallow and warm waters, but also for those seeking wellness tourism, as they can combine their swimming with the beneficial properties of the thermal mud.
  • Infrastructure: The beach combines absolute luxury with pristine nature. In various parts of it, there are excellently organized beach bars and infrastructure of the famous high-end resorts of the area, offering sun loungers, umbrellas and water sports. At the same time, due to its enormous size, it has vast free and quiet sections.
  • Access: Very easy by car via the road network from Vartholomio or Killini Castle. The road crosses the magnificent eucalyptus forest and leads just a few meters from the coast, where there is ample and free parking.
