Nerantza Beach
Description
The Quiet and Friendly Holiday Retreat of the Corinthian GulfΤο Ήσυχο και Φιλικό Παραθεριστικό Καταφύγιο του Κορινθιακού
Nerantza Beach is one of the most welcoming, peaceful and family-friendly destinations on the southern coastline of the Corinthian Gulf. It is located in the homonymous seaside settlement of the Municipality of Velos-Vocha, in an excellent location between Vrachati and Kiato. The village was originally created by residents of Trikala, Corinth, who were looking for a summer haven. Today, Nerantza stands out for its quiet environment, clear waters and the feeling of the old, authentic Greek countryside, away from the intense noise of the large tourist resorts.
- Type of coast: An extensive, flat coastline covered with fine pebbles and clean sand. Its waters are shallow, crystal clear and azure, while in several places there are trees that offer natural shade.
- Suitable for: Families with young children due to the shallow waters and the safety offered by the coast, but also for older travelers or couples seeking absolute relaxation by the sea.
- Infrastructure: Ideally divided between organization and free space. It has cozy beach bars with umbrellas and sun loungers, showers and infrastructure, while a large part of it remains free. Within walking distance, along the settlement, there are traditional taverns and cafes, as well as seaside rental apartments.
- Access: Very easy and fast, as it is only 18 kilometers from Corinth and about an hour and 15 minutes from Athens. The connection is direct via the Athens-Patras National Road, while it is also well served by the Suburban Railway (with alighting at Korinthos or Kiato stations). There is ample free parking on the surrounding roads and near the coast.
