Perasma Sykias Beach is one of the most special and unexplored geographical points of Messinia. It is located at the southwestern end of the beach of Divari (Golden Coast), right in the shadow of the imposing Paleokastro of Navarino. It is a narrow, shallow strip of sea that separates the mainland from the historic island of Sfaktiria, offering an extremely impressive and wild natural landscape.
- Coast type: A small strip of fine, soft sand on the coast that leads to crystal clear, shallow and transparent turquoise waters. The narrow sea passage connects the Gulf of Navarino with the open Ionian Sea.
- Suitable for: Adventure, isolation and snorkeling lovers. It is ideal for those who want to live the unique experience of swimming across from the uninhabited island of Sfaktiria to explore its pristine beaches. It is also the ideal starting point for hiking to the castle.
- Infrastructure: The beach is completely unorganized and isolated. There are no beach bars, umbrellas, sunbeds, toilets or canteens. You must definitely bring water, snacks and your own shading equipment with you.
- Access: Access is by road following the passable dirt road that starts from the end of Divari beach. The road ends at a natural plateau-parking lot. From there, the coast is just a few meters away on foot, while the paths to Paleokastro and Voidokilia begin from the same point.
