Petalidi beach is the epicenter of the homonymous seaside settlement, which is approximately 26 km southwest of Kalamata. It is an ideal destination for those seeking a combination of traditional Greek hospitality, calm waters and immediate access to all the amenities of an organized village, with the central square and the church of Agios Nikolaos dominating right above.
- Type of coast: Mixture of fine pebbles, sand and small stones along the coastline. The waters of the Messinian Gulf at this point are very clear, warm and extremely sheltered, while they deepen very smoothly, making swimming easy for everyone.
- Suitable for: Families with young children and older people looking for safety and tranquility. The lack of strong waves and the immediate proximity to the village make it one of the most relaxing destinations in the area.
- Infrastructure: Very well organized in various parts with umbrellas and sunbeds from the cafes and beach bars in the area. Just above the coast, on the coastal promenade, there are excellent fish taverns, ouzo bars and restaurants. There are also showers and a comfortable area for free swimmers.
- Access: Very easy by road, as the beach extends along the settlement. You can park your car for free on the surrounding roads or near the harbor, and be on the coast within a few seconds on foot.
