Skalosias Beach is one of the most impressive, wild and well-hidden treasures of Corinthia. It is located in the Corinthian Gulf, hidden under the steep slopes of the Gerania Mountains, north of Perachora and about 20 kilometers from Loutraki. Its name comes from the word "skala", as the trademark of the area is the special, stone staircase with steps that the visitor must descend to reach the shore. It is a setting of unparalleled natural beauty, where the pine-covered mountain meets vertical cliffs and sea caves.
- Type of coast: A vast, pristine coastline covered in large white pebbles and rocks. Its waters are deep, crystal clear, and have a bright blue color. Due to its geographical location, it offers a stunning and unobstructed idyllic sunset.
- Suitable for: Travelers who love wildlife and unorganized shores. Due to the waters that deepen sharply and the currents, it is mainly suitable for experienced and experienced swimmers, while its rocky bottom is the absolute paradise for snorkeling and spearfishing enthusiasts.
- Infrastructure: Completely unorganized (untouched). You will not find beach bars, umbrellas, sun loungers or canteens. It is absolutely essential to organize yourself properly and bring water, food and your own shade equipment, although the imposing cliffs offer some protection depending on the time of day.
- Access: It is located about 1.5 hours from Athens and 15 minutes after the intersection leading to Lake Vouliagmeni. The road from Loutraki and Perachora is paved and passable up to the plateau above the coast. After parking your vehicle for free, you will need to walk down the shaped steps to the beach.
