The Tripoli War Museumis one of the most historically charged, educational and timeless cultural destinations of Arcadia. It is located in the heart of the Peloponnese, occupying an extremely privileged location in the center of Tripoli, right on the central Agios Vassiliou Square (at the junction with Ethnomartyron Street 1). The great advantage of the museum is the very building where it is housed: a magnificent, preserved neoclassical mansion of 1861, which was the home of the eminent doctor and politician Ioannis Malliaropoulos, creating an ideal environment for highlighting modern Greek history in 11 organized thematic units.

- Exhibition type: A continuous, moving journey through the struggles of the nation that unfolds through rich displays of weapons, authentic uniforms, photographic documents and paintings. The tour covers the Greek Revolution of 1821, the Greco-Turkish War, the Macedonian Struggle, the Balkan Wars, World War I, the Asia Minor Catastrophe, the Epic of 1940, the German Invasion and Occupation, up to the Middle East and the Liberation of 1944.

The museum is traditionally famous for its heirloom character, as it hosts priceless treasures, such as letters from the fighters and the shocking authentic funeral mask of Theodoros Kolokotronis.

The halls feature excellent highlight lighting, explanatory signs, while the experienced staff conducts exemplary guided tours that bring the exhibits to life. - Access:Very easy, fast and direct. As it dominates the heart of the commercial and historical center of the city, access is on foot from any point in Tripoli. For visitors outside Arcadia, the journey from Athens takes approximately 1.5 hours via Olympia and the Central Road. Parking is available on the surrounding municipal roads or in nearby parking lots.
