Astros, one of the most imposing and historic traditional settlements of coastal and lowland Arcadia, is a stately town and seat of the Municipality of Northern Kynouria built in the center of the fertile plain of Thyrea at an altitude of 70 meters, which rightfully holds a prominent place in Greek history due to its strategic importance and rich cultural heritage.
