Loutra Oraias Elenis
Loutra Oraias Elenis Corinthia, a beautiful and historic seaside settlement in the Municipality of Corinth, is a popular tourist resort built along the Saronic Gulf, just 10 kilometers from Corinth and 7 kilometers from the Isthmus Canal. The area is world-famous for its homonymous, officially recognized thermal springs (called Rheiton in the 5th century BC), which gush crystal clear, sodium chloride water south of the ancient port of Cenchrei and were named after the queen of Sparta, who according to legend bathed there to maintain her beauty and well-being. Today, the Baths of Beautiful Helen are an ideal destination for peaceful summer getaways, offering a wonderful pebble beach with clear waters, a lively coastal road full of picturesque taverns (such as Pefko) with fresh fish, cafes and beach bars, while their strategic location next to the Isthmian - Epidaurus National Road offers very easy access from Athens and is the perfect base for excursions to the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, the Kenchrees and the Archaeological Museum of Isthmia.
