Sofiko

Sofiko of Corinth, a historic village of the Municipality of Corinth, is a traditional and green settlement of eastern Corinth, built on a privileged plateau in the Solygeion region and surrounded by one of the largest and densest pine forests in Greece. The village carries a rich Byzantine heritage and ecclesiastical history, as dozens of important Byzantine and post-Byzantine monuments are hidden in its wider area, with the most notable being the Monastery of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary on the Rock and the historic Church of the Holy Trinity of the 13th century. Today, Sofiko is world-famous for the famous "The Ranch", a huge, innovative Western theme park that offers unique horseback riding and nature activities for families and schools, while the village itself maintains its authenticity, famous for its traditional barbecues, fine local meat and pure pine honey. Due to its strategic location on the road to Epidaurus, it ideally combines mountain tranquility with sea breeze, offering easy access to the picturesque bays of the Saronic Gulf, such as Korfos and Amoni.
