Derveni

Derveni of Corinth, the westernmost and one of the most picturesque seaside towns of the prefecture, forms the natural border with Achaia and an ideal destination for peaceful getaways by the sea. Built along the shores of the Corinthian Gulf, Derveni (which belongs to the Municipality of Xylokastro - Evrostina) stands out for its special street layout, as many of its traditional houses and well-preserved mansions are built literally on the beach, giving the feeling that they are "floating" in the sea. The town is famous for its vast, pebble beach with crystal clear, deep blue waters, while its main street and the coastal promenade are bustling with life with traditional cafes, modern cafes and excellent fish taverns. Due to its strategic location, Derveni perfectly combines the sea breeze with the mountain charm, making it the perfect base for excursions to the historic Evrostina (Zacholi) with the stream of Mylons, to the mountainous Trikala of Corinth, but also to Achaia.
