Zacharo

Zacharo, a beautiful and rapidly developing town in the southwestern part of the Regional Unit of Ilia, is a blessed destination that charms visitors with the unique combination of lush pine forests, olive groves and the vast blue of the Ionian Sea. Built in a privileged location along the Kyparissia Gulf and a stone's throw from Ancient Olympia, Zacharo is world famous for its endless, golden beach with fine sand, which is one of the largest in Greece, as well as for the adjacent, fairytale-like Lake Kaiafas with the famous Thermal Baths that gush from caves-dwellings of the ancient Nymphs.
